Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Research & Development department that aligns with the organization’s overall objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing Research & Development team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Identify key areas for technology transfer and product development, leveraging opportunities from the market landscape.
Technology Transfer & Development
- Assess and bridge gaps in existing technologies and processes to enhance product development initiatives.
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to facilitate technology transfers, ensuring a smooth transition and integration.
Team Management
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a diverse team of researchers and engineers, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and expertise.
- Create an environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement among team members.
Budget Management
- Oversee R&D budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize output and innovation.
- Work closely with the finance team to track expenditure and provide forecasts for future R&D investments.
Product Development
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept through to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.
- Drive forward integration strategies related to parts and sub-assemblies, optimizing product designs and processes.
Collaboration & Networking
- Foster relationships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and research organizations to enhance R&D capabilities and knowledge sharing.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, incorporating relevant insights into the R&D strategy.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant regulations and standards, promoting ethical research practices.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgy/ Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile/Production) & MBA/ Any equivalent degree
- Age: 50 to 55 years
- 25-30 years of experience in product development / R&D with Automobile / Engineering Industry
- Proven experience (10+ years) in R&D leadership roles within technology-driven industries.
- Strong background in technology transfer, product development, and commercialization.
- Strong Techno-commercial know-how, Sharp Business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
- The candidate should have been in a role that understands customer needs, come up with product feasibility and build in-house technical capabilities to service the needs of the client
