Job Purpose

  • The incumbent would be responsible to develop and implement the IT and digital roadmap across various functions, focusing on leveraging technology to drive business growth, improve efficiency, enhance performance, and meet customer expectations and insights.

Key Responsibilities

Information technology

  • Leverage IT to capture data, analyze it and present the analytics to business to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Study, evolve, implement and review the entire IT Infrastructure and Processes, Technology Platforms and Protocols existing in the Company for simplicity and on a single platform.
  • Develop a robust and scalable IT infrastructure that can adapt to the evolving needs of both the business and its employees, ensuring long-term efficiency and flexibility.
  • Create protocols for a safe and secure IT environment thereby de-risking the organization from any adverse consequences
  • Develop metric / measures of performance for the IT function linked to cost, service levels and business enablers
  • Evaluate & present business cases for embracing new technologies directed towards business integration, to the senior management teams
  • Understand business challenges of different functions and develop an integrated view of their technology needs
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Recommend feasible technology solutions to meet functional requirements.
  • Develop and execute futuristic IT policies
  • Business continuity planning including disaster recovery
  • Ability to manage projects and cross – functional teams, working with consultants & partners
  • Keep abreast of emerging digital trends and execute IT strategy & process to adopt such trends.

Digital Transformation/Digital Strategy

  • Map digital capabilities to strategic priorities; serve as the executive sponsor for digital process innovation.
  • Strategize and initiate programs to deliver Digital projects to improve customer or stakeholder experience, improving revenue and helping in cost reduction
  • Drive digital transformation & focus on the latest technological innovations while also improving customer engagement.

Functional & Technical Ownership

  • Lead & drive the automation and digitization charter for all businesses & functions
  • Own the digital transformation process; and drive the development and deployment of digital tools & products. (e.g. engagement app, customer app, data mgmt. systems, etc.)
  • Introduce advanced analytics & other innovations to use data for decision making
  • Educate the team on digital tools, techniques and technologies from time to time
  • Identify ideas for digital initiatives based on latest digital trends, innovation and market shifts

Digitalization at Manufacturing Sites

  • Coordinate between the plants to avoid duplication of initiatives
  • Every site has its own existing working model. The Executive would be responsible to devise Digitalization strategy for the site, communicate with stakeholders, ensure all inputs are taken into consideration and eventually support the plants to roll out the Digitalization plan
  • Assess current work/ upcoming projects and look at best practices to support digitalization initiatives
  • Enable Transfer of knowledge from one plant to another

Execution & Implementation

  • Define KPIs to monitor activities/ program and support on-ground execution of initiatives
  • Track implementation of individual digital initiatives and update the management on a regular basis
  • Effectively work with ecosystem of external partners for deployment of digital solutions

Change management

  • Garner company-wide support for digital strategy – grassroots and executive support
  • Lead change management initiatives for various programs.
  • Set governance for each initiative and ensure effective adherence

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computers/IT)
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 & must have worked on Digital Transformation projects at a Project Leader level
  • Minimum 15-18 years of experience with proven background on successful implementation of digital initiatives of which significant tenure within the manufacturing sector
  • Hands-on experience in deployment of innovative business models through adoption of digital tools
  • Strong understanding of upcoming / new technologies being used in business transformation
  • Understanding of legacy IT systems and solutions to common challenges when integrating digital tools/platforms
