Job Purpose

  • The executive will be responsible for planning, strategizing, and executing activities related to comprehensive market analysis including gathering intelligence on customers, competitors, and governmental policies. Additionally, the role involves driving sales initiatives to achieve both short-term and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and project annual, 3-year, and 5-year forecasts to retain existing customers while developing new ones.
  • Actively contribute to the development of new markets, products, and customer bases.
  • Build a robust Sales and Marketing Organization, clearly delegating responsibilities, setting and achieving sales targets, and maintaining pricing levels.
  • Work closely with the Directors to plan and manage continuous improvement opportunities, aiming to establish market leadership in selected product groups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the key customers and engage with them to understand and resolve product & services related complaints and negotiate term contracts.
  • Drive brand recognition, product and thought leadership while leading and motivating the team to meet established objectives.
  • Take a proactive, solution-oriented approach to issue management and resolution, ensuring staff members are supported.
  • Manage expectations and present objective solutions and arguments based on business requirements.
  • Identify and assess all improvement activities related to Sales, Marketing, and Shipments.
  • Work closely with other department heads to achieve organizational objectives and proactively ensure integrated and systematic solutions.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with peers and the broader organizational community.
  • Provide ongoing support to Directors and change agents.
  • Lead process improvement and change management activities, addressing issues that arise from these initiatives.
  • Proactively identify training-related issues impacting organisation products, processes, and systems, engaging with Training Specialists as needed. Assist Training Specialists in developing and validating training materials
  • Active participation in industry events such as plastic, PVC, polymers, and chemical exhibitions, seminars, and conferences.

Qualification & Experience

  • BSc. in Chemistry or B.E./B.Tech in Chemical, Polymer Sciences, or Plastics Engineering with Post-Graduation in Management is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B sales, including sales through dealers & distributors, preferred from a mid – sized organisation with
  • Proven expertise in both domestic and international markets is required, and should be well versed with the commercial, regulations and governance aspects of international sales and marketing.
  • Age – Upto 52 years
  • Executives with experience in both promoter-led organization and MNC would be an added advantage.
  • Executives who have also worked in mid-sized companies and played a key role in driving the organization’s growth are desirable.
  • Ability to identify market potential and carve out market share for company’s products.
  • Demonstrated capability in setting and achieving sales targets for both self and team
  • Experience in leading a team comprising 10 or more sales staff, 10 or more technical services staff, and a marketing & branding team.
  • Experience delivering talks at seminars/exhibitions, covering technical, industrial, and market landscapes of polymer and PVC products
  • Willingness to travel for at least 5 – 10 days a month
